Kas is from Lombok. His surf school is based around Selong Belanak, on the south coast of the island. He works with people catching their first waves as well as surfers who want help exploring the reef breaks.
Surfing is a big part of his life, but the website also introduces what he shares beyond the water. There are cooking experiences at his family’s farm, family dinners, walks, and other ways to spend time with him in Lombok. You can get a much better sense of the person through those things than through a list of surf-lesson prices.
He also helps friends and family learn English and work alongside him. That part of his story belongs on the site. A visitor booking a lesson should be able to see who is behind it, where they come from, and what else they care about.
A website I wanted him to have
There wasn’t a commercial deal behind this one. I built it for free because I love the guy. Making the site was a practical way to help people find his work and get in touch with him.
The site brings together his surf lessons, Lombok experiences, photographs, and an introduction to Kas himself. It gives someone planning a trip a place to look around before starting a conversation.
The booking links go directly to his WhatsApp. You can ask him about your level, your dates, or what you’d like to do, rather than guess from a generic activity listing. He is the person who can tell you what makes sense for the conditions and the time you have.

Have a look at the site and talk to Kas. Tell him how much surfing you’ve done, including if the answer is none. If you’re interested in spending time away from the beach too, look through the experiences and ask what is available.
